The new HR 37 beats all previous sales successes of the Swedish shipyard on Orust. Even before the official world premiere, which will take place from 22 August to 24 August 2003 at the shipyard in Ellös, 41 yachts of the new type have already been firmly ordered.
The YACHT crew had the exclusive opportunity to thoroughly test the HR 37 in advance.
The 37 replaces the HR 36, which was built over 600 times in 14 years. Although the new yacht designed by Germán Frers is only one centimetre longer than its predecessor, there is a milestone between the two models.
The 37 has a significantly longer waterline length, a markedly higher 9/10 rig, a lower centre of gravity on the slender keel and a more agile rudder.
Conclusion: The sailing characteristics have been significantly improved. Add to this the new carbon fibre full-batten sails from Elvström and the solid Rassy becomes a sporty cruiser.
